Many people who think they are ready to use steroids are often not. There are many different things to consider before beginning a cycle. Here's a small check list so-to-speak to help you know if or when you will be ready to go to the next level. 1.) Age: Steroids are not something that should be used at a young age. The testosterone levels in young males is usually exceptionally high and if you're having a hard time growing then more than likely your diet is not good enough or you're not training properly. It is usually accepted that men wait until 24 years of age or older before considering aas. 2.) Diet: the most important part of bulking or cutting is your diet. Without properly dieting you may never reach the goals that you may have set. Before starting any steroid cycle you should have your diet straight. I suggest visiting the diet section here and having your diet critiqued as many people think there diet is better than it actually is. Also remember that whether or not your cycle is a bulking cycle or a cutting cycle is based largely on your diet and not the substances you are wanting to take. 3.) Current physical stats: Your current age, weight, height, and body fat all play a role in whether or not you are ready to take the next step. Steroids are meant to help bring you past your natural growth limit and should not be used until you are close to or at your genetic potential. For example, a guy that's 6' tall 150lbs is not ready for aas. He still has plenty of room to grow naturally using diet and proper training. Where at the same time a guy at the same height that weighs 220lbs may not be ready either if his bodyfat percentage is high. Basically what I'm getting at is. Steroids are not designed to make skinny guys big and fat guys skinny. That's what diet and exercise are for. 4.) Knowledge: Nobody should start a cycle without having a decent amount of knowledge on what they are putting in there body. There are risks and side effects that come along with steroids and the more you know the more you can control and avoid these side effects. I would suggest reading any and all stickies on this forum and reading through the profile section aswell. 5.) Dedication: Steroids are not miracle drugs. Results still take dedication and hard work. You have to push yourself and work your ass off. You can't just take a pill or inject something in your body and get results sitting on the couch eating pizza. 6.) Have everything you need first: Do not start a cycle without everything you need. This includes enough test and other compounds you may be running to last the entire cycle, all AI's that you may need throughout the cycle, and most importantly your post cycle therapy (PCT). Don't get started thinking you'll just pick up whatever else you need when the time comes. Things happen and far too often people are unable to get what they need mid cycle or post cycle for pct. There's no need to rush and risk your health. Important links Steroid profiles STEROIDS PROFILES FORUM - Forums Post cycle therapy (PCT) PCT for dummies; How and Why... Everyone feel free to add to this and if you feel like there's something I need to add/chance just let me know. I know there's a lot more to consider but this should get people looking in the right direction. Last edited by Stack_it; 08-30-2010 at 08:36 PM. |
